Water Contamination

Water is the 2nd leading cause of damage to the oil. Ingress of water shortens bearing life, accelerates the corrosion and causes corrosion of the metal surface, which eventually leads to equipment failure. This water is available in oil in three types (free, emulsified, dissolving) and all water types must be removed, but its removability and efficiency varies depending on viscosity and oil type.
